Do the interactive tour if you like animals. You get to feed and pet the dogs if the dogs let you. The sanctuary is beautiful!Full review by Trey B

I didn't see any 'alternate' opening times displayed when we were there. I'd imagine it's a fairly standard working hours they have despite differing seasons.

Feeding time is good and what is nice is that you can take your time to wander. It would be better though to pre-book the interactive tour if you can.

Yes it's quite a long way from Banff - hence the $700. Try emailing the sanctuary or the tourist office in Banff. We were staying in Cochran so not so far and we had transport. …

Yes it's quite a long way from Banff - hence the $700. Try emailing the sanctuary or the tourist office in Banff. We were staying in Cochran so not so far and we had transport. The sanctuary is quite interesting but I think you could spend your $700 on more interesting places. Maybe cheaper to hire a car. There's likely to be a lot of snow in December.
