This is nothing short of an amazing museum. It is hard to believe so many things have been made of glass through history. I highly recommend this museum. Full review by Skip G

An absolutely super experience. We spent two days here. The history of glass is beautifully told, and the collection of both ancient and contemporary work is beyond compare. You can see glass work… Full review by Betty F

Absolutely amazing. The complete history of glass from top to bottom. I feel like even after spending several hours, we missed a ton. Will be going back in the future. Full review by TheGambianRPCV

This is an extensive museum with lots of exhibits on their inventions, tupes of glass, and other glass topics. There are also live demonstrations of glass blowing and other techniques. We spent several hours there. Have a look on their website to see what's there.
Is there mobility carts for handicapped people who want to take the tour?
A:
Wheelchairs are available free of charge at the Admissions lobby, lower level entrance, and Welcome Center or by asking any Museum employee on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hi, we are planning the trip to niagara via Corning glass museum from the UK. We’d like to make our own glass but I understand it takes up to 10 business days to arrive within the US but we’ll na back to the UK by then. How much does the shopping cost please? And why can’t we take what we’ve made the same day? Thanks.

After being formed the glass has to be annealed (heated) overnight, otherwise it will break. I suggest that you contact them directly about overseas shipment costs. Please understand that you will not be "making glass", just assisting a skilled technician in the shaping of it.
I would love, love to come for a visit.I'd love to take a class too. But winter until March is when I have the most time . What is the winter like driving from Ct. ? What are the chances of getting snowed in?lol

I think you just need to keep eye on the weather. I live in Ithaca NY which is only about 40 minutes from Corning. If you are used to winter driving, then it shouldn't be bad if you can easily get on the interstates-- Route 17/86 would be your route in, and it goes all across the state. Corning is right on it. I would avoid trying it in January and February, but March, especially later in the month, is not necessarily going to be a problem. If you can be flexible and watch the weather carefully you should be fine. The last day or so we had some winter snow squallS, but not all that much snow, and the roads, which were a bit iffy last evening, were fine by morning. NY does a good job of keeping the roads clear in all but the worst weather.
