An amazing museum. We spent the best part of 5 hours there and with Storm Burt blowing outside we spent nearly all of the time indoors. Friendly, well informed volunteers enhanced the day. Thank you…Full review by Julie G

It was £26 for a family ticket and £7 for a concession, these last for 12 months from purchase so very good value.

I think it can be enjoyed by both generations, kiddies can see how they lived in the Victorian days and the transport systems they had. Also the telephone exchange for children to enjoy and play around in. There are nice grounds for everyone to enjoy a nice picnic or if the weather is not nice the there’s a lovely coffee shop on the grounds with fresh made cakes for everyone to enjoy as well.

Parking is plentiful and feee only time we have problems is at our big weekend events when we use an overspill 490m walk away. It can take 2-4 hours to go around, depending on …

Parking is plentiful and feee only time we have problems is at our big weekend events when we use an overspill 490m walk away. It can take 2-4 hours to go around, depending on how engaged you are! And yes, there's a cafe serving drinks, homemade cakes and sandwiches.

Yes, I think so! We regularly take our five year old and there seems to be enough to entertain him. Lots to see and interact with regardless of age.

If they have an interest in history then it would. All the displays are interactive, and I think the telephone room would be a favourite.
