The Palisades and Eaton fires, two of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in California history, reached 100 percent containment more than three weeks after they began.

Those looking to assist residents affected by the Los Angeles County firestorm have a number of options to donate money, materials or their time.

The Eaton Fire is almost completely contained in the Altadena area northeast of Los Angeles. On the LA County coast, the Palisades Fire is over three-fourths contained. The Hughes Fire, which broke out in the Lake Castaic area Wednesday north of Los Angeles, is over 50% contained.

A new wildfire was reported today at 8:52 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.

At least 29 people are believed to be dead and more than a dozen others remain unaccounted for as multiple wildfires rage across Southern California.
