President Donald Trump's family business sued Capital One, alleging a politically motivated "de-banking" of hundreds of the company's accounts.

The Trump Organization has sued Capital One, accusing the banking company of terminating over 300 of the Trump Organization’s accounts “without cause.” Eric Trump confirmed the filing of the lawsuit in a statement on X,

MIAMI (AP) — A company owned by President Donald Trump sued Capital One on Friday, claiming the bank unjustifiably terminated over 300 of the Trump Organization’s accounts without cause in 2021, shortly after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The lender de-banked some 300 Trump Organization accounts because it believed “the political tide at the moment favored doing so,” a lawsuit contends. Eric Trump has suggested more big banks may be targeted.
