EMMET COUNTY - On Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 9:36 p.m., Emmet County Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to Carp Lake Township in response to a report of a missing snowmobiler. The missing individual, Steven Davis of Novi, was part of a group snowmobiling in the area and was reported missing by his companions, deputies said.

According to the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, deputies dispatched to Carp Lake Township in response to a report of a missing snowmobiler found the body of Steven Davis at around 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 22. The initial investigation indicates “Davis left Snowmobile Trail number 7 and crashed,” the sheriff’s office stated in a social media post.
