Samuel Eto'o, President of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), was elected to the CAF Executive Committee by acclamation in Cairo

Former Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o was elected to the CAF executive committee by acclamation in Cairo on Wednesday as he was the lone candidate from the central Africa region. Later on Wednesday, CAF president Patrice Motsepe from South Africa is set to be re-elected unopposed for a second four-year term.

South African mining magnate Patrice Motsepe was re-elected unopposed as Confederation of African Football president at the organisation's congress in Cairo on Wednesday, while four-time African Footballer of the Year Samuel Eto'o won a place on the executive committee.
