A new wildfire was reported today at 10:35 a.m. in San Diego County. Jesmond 3 Fire has been burning on private land. Currently, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

Showers and some thunderstorms are expected throughout County by the middle of the week with periods of gusty winds, the National Weather Service said Monday.

The pile burning project, called Palomar Mountain Piles Wcsl, was initiated 12:10 p.m. Jan. 8 in San Diego County. The prescribed fire has been burning on federal land managed by the United States Forest Service for almost two months.
