A protest in downtown L.A. protest against the immigration policies of President Trump moved onto the 101 Freeway.

Protesters gathered in downtown Los Angeles on 2 February in response to a recent increase in ICE raids and deportations under President Trump's immigration crackdown. Thousands of people carrying Mexican flags and placards marched to Los Angeles City Hall before walking onto and blocking the 101 Freeway.

The protest on Feb. 3 appeared to be organized by the Phoenix branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation. About 150 people showed up.

The anti-ICE demonstrations, happening on "A Day Without Immigrants," have extended into the evening, prompting LAPD to issue a dispersal order in downtown Los Angeles. The protests come as President Donald Trump has ordered ICE raids and mass deportations across the United States.
