North Carolina's Hubert Davis, the fourth-year coach whose Tar Heels are at risk of missing the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years, is planning staff changes, including hiring a general manager to navigate the NIL and transfer portal era.

Davis also receives an annual expense allowance of $50,000 to be used for entertainment and “other appropriate purposes to advance the program,” $500,000 annually as part of North Carolina’s multimedia rights agreement with Learfield Communications and $250,000 per year from the school’s deal with Nike.

The fourth-year coach talked about plans to add more support staff during his radio show Monday night. It comes at a time when the Tar Heels are at risk of missing the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years.
