West Ham had been in the hunt for the striker during the winter window after the long-term injuries sustained by Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen. Ward-Prowse, 30, has started only five Premier League games for Forest and was left out of the squad for Saturday's win over Brighton.
