Pittsburgh native and Army combat veteran Sean Parnell has been named chief spokesperson at the Pentagon.President Donald Trump made the announcement Monday night in a social media post, calling Parnell “a great American patriot” and a “fearless combat veteran.

Former Pennsylvania congressional candidate and combat veteran Sean Parnell has been picked to serve as the chief Pentagon spokesperson for the Trump administration. President Trump announced the new role at the Pentagon for Parnell on his Truth Social page Monday evening.

The two men are prominent veterans, Joe Kent being a former Green Beret and Sean Parnell leading one of the most decorated units of the Afghanistan War.

Parnell was endorsed by Trump when he previously ran for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. “This look is all about American exceptionalism,” she said of her pro-Trump ensemble on the Grammys red carpet.
