The New York Giants appeared to be choosing between free-agent quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers this offseason, and ended up officially going with the former on Tuesday when they signed him to a one-year deal.
Adam Schefter of ESPN highlighted the situation after reporting Wilson's one-year deal worth up to $21 million with the Giants, noting that "it also now leaves Rodgers and the Steelers in a position to work out their own agreement, if the quarterback decides he wants to play this season."
