It has been a full week since Aaron Rodgers visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he still has not signed with the team. While that may happen eventually, there is one specific reason Rodgers might be content to wait several more months.

The New York Giants appeared to be choosing between free-agent quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers this offseason, and ended up officially going with the former on Tuesday when they signed him to a one-year deal.

Adam Schefter of ESPN highlighted the situation after reporting Wilson's one-year deal worth up to $21 million with the Giants, noting that "it also now leaves Rodgers and the Steelers in a position to work out their own agreement, if the quarterback decides he wants to play this season."
