CHENNAI (Reuters) - About 500 workers at Samsung's plant in south India are holding a sit-in to protest against the suspension of three employees, and the company has deployed contract workers to fill the gap, two sources said.

Employees at Samsung’s Sriperumbudur factory have resumed their strike, demanding the reinstatement of three suspended union members. Around 500 of the 1,750 workers are protesting, alleging management pressure to join a company-backed committee.
