Sil, a star in the second season of “Squid Game,” has died at age 81, suffering cardiac arrest at home three months after being diagnosed with stomach cancer.

According to her talent agency, 1230Culture, Joo-Sil went into cardiac arrest at her family home on the morning of Feb. 2 and was pronounced dead after being transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, per South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo.

Lee Joo-shil, the veteran South Korean actress best known for her role in "Squid Game" Season 2, has passed away at the age of 81.

Lee Joo Sil best known for her roles in Squid Game and The Uncanny Counter died at the age of 80 due to stomach cancer. She was earlier suffering from breast cancer as well.

Her funeral will be held on February 5 at Severance Hospital in Seoul, where fans can pay their respects starting February 4.
