Cincinnati was not chosen for the Sundance Film Festival, according to the president of Film Cincinnati. In a statement sent Thursday, Film Cincinnati President Kristen Schlotman wrote: "While Cincinnati was not selected to host Sundance Film Festival, we are proud of how our city demonstrated its dynamic role within the film industry."

Cincinnati was set to kick in $5 million toward hosting the festival, which was expected to bring a $120 million economic impact. City leaders and economic development groups hosted Sundance officials at Blink, the festival of art and light that took over the urban cores of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, in October of last year.
