On Wednesday, January 22nd, the Devils ended their four-game losing streak with a convincing 5-1 victory over the Bruins at Prudential Center. This performance showcased a much-needed spark and a renewed sense of determination.
The Bruins were down 3-2 at the start of the third period. While the Bruins were in a tough spot, Charlie Coyle bailed them out with an excellent third period. Coyle tied the game up at the 8:22 mark of the third and then scored the eventual game-winner at 14:11. He also added an assist for good measure on Elias Lindholm's empty-netter.
