The winter storm that moved through Florida on Tuesday into Wednesday is one for the record books, smashing the previous all-time high for snowfall in the Sunshine State.

On that day, snow fell in South Florida for the first time in recorded history. According to an article from the NWS, snow was seen across all of southeast Florida as far south as Homestead and even on Miami Beach.

Temperatures are dipping into the 30s this week, and while parts of Florida are expected to get snow, FOX 13 meteorologists say the Bay Area won’t see any snow or ice. However, that wasn’t the case in 1977.

According to her Facebook, she lives in Englewood on Florida’s west coast about 88 miles south of Tampa. But just wait: Weather Underground forecasts a low of 38 there next Saturday morning.
