Digg, once the homepage of the internet, is rebooting under the leadership of former rivals Kevin Rose and Alexis Ohanian.

Digg, one of the web’s early news aggregators, is now back under the ownership of original founder Kevin Rose. Notably, he’s joined as co-owner by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian (both pictured above).

According to TechCrunch, the revival of Digg is driven by a shared vision to restore the platform’s original spirit of discovery and community. Rose and Ohanian, once rivals in the social news space, have grown closer over the years and see this collaboration as an opportunity to create a better alternative to today’s social media platforms.
