Publix sold a Powerball ticket worth $1 million in the March 24 drawing, exactly one month after a winning ticket was drawn Feb. 24.

A shopper at a Publix in Lady Lake won $1 million after purchasing a winning Powerball ticket. The ticket, which was part of the March 24 drawing, matched all the numbers except the Powerball, securing the player a $1 million second-tier prize.

In Florida, Powerball tickets start at $2. The lucky player chose the Quick Pick option, meaning a lottery machine randomly chose at least some of the ticket numbers. The person’s ticket then matched all the white balls to win $1 million.
