The return of Porzingis was a bit rocky at first, which is not all that odd given how late in the season he first took the court. Now, he appears to be very close to at the peak of his powers -- and hopefully will stay that way given the impact he has had on Boston's play.

Kristaps Porzingis was a surprise scratch for the Celtics less than 30 minutes before tipoff against the Knicks on Saturday.

Porzingis' absence notwithstanding, the Celtics had no problems on Saturday as they cruised past the Knicks 131-104 at Madison Square Garden. It was a statement win for the defending champions against a potential playoff rival, following a disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
