An undisclosed illness has sideline Porzingis, and Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla had no update on the the big man's recovery progress. Jaylen Brown (knee) also sat out.

Porzingis had hoped to return to the Celtics’ lineup sooner than he did. He previously teased on social media that he was going to play in the Celtics’ game against the Lakers on March 8, but he wound up sitting that day.

Kristaps Porzingis, who returned after a "frustrating" bout with an illness that kept him out for eight games, scored 24 points in 32 minutes Saturday.
