Ottawa Senators starting netminder Linus Ullmark will make his much-anticipated return to the crease Tuesday versus the Atlantic Division rival Tampa Bay Lightning.

After missing almost a month and a half of action, Ullmark returned to the Sens lineup on Monday night as a backup in Nashville.

The Ottawa Senators have assigned goaltender Leevi Merilainen back to the minor leagues. This seems to be an indication that top goaltender Linus Ullmark is nearing a return from his long-term injury,

Linus Ullmark is on the four-game road trip with the Ottawa Senators. And Leevi Merilainen has been sent back to Ottawa's AHL farm team in Belleville. With the Senators not practising Sunday, we don’t know if Linus Ullmark will start Monday’s game.
