Borussia Dortmund has signed Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka on loan until the end of the season. The loan deal includes an option to buy this upcoming summer worth around $40 million. The transfer was concluded just in time for the winter transfer window to close for Bundesliga clubs on Monday afternoon.

Chukwuemeka, 21, has not featured in the Premier League for Chelsea this season and has only started one match in the Conference League.

Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season. Chukwuemeka has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge this season, making only five appearances across all competitions. Only one of those was from the start, away to Kazakhstani side Astana in the Conference League.
