Russia launched a drone attack on Kyiv on the night of February 8. Debris from the attack caused damage in the Darnytskyi district, according to the Telegram channel of the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration,

Ukraine has, for some time, fielded large "mothership" drones that can carry and eventually deploy a set of smaller attack drones. This approach can, for example, get light and fast FPV attack drones behind the front lines before releasing them, thereby extending the attack drones' limited range.

Ukraine has launched its second major drone attack in a week against Russian oil refineries hundreds of miles from its borders.

The Russians have been attacking Ukraine with 139 Shahed drones and decoy UAVs of various types since the evening of 7 February. Ukrainian air defence has managed to down 67 drones, while 71 disappeared from radar.
