The Detroit Tigers are expected to remain active in free agency. According to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press, the Tigers are "still interested"

Tarik Skubal is locked in as the ace of the rotation and Flaherty will fall in directly behind him. Alex Cobb will function as a regular starter for as long as he’s able to avoid the injured list and the Tigers love what they saw from Reese Olson in 2024. That’s four traditional spots locked up.

But Jobe, 22, really hasn’t done that since a 40-inning stint at West Michigan in 2023. He walked 12.7 percent of batters at Double-A Erie. He was fine during very brief end-of-season stints with Toledo and Detroit but did nothing to suggest that he was ready to take the league by storm in the same way Skenes did in 2024.
