Proverbial shockwaves were sent through the NBA late Saturday night as ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported that a trade has been agreed upon that will send Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Los Angeles Lakers sought offensive help on the perimeter. Instead of making a deal around the margins with minimal impact, the two teams orchestrated a blockbuster trade that sends forward-center and 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Mavericks and five-time All-NBA guard Luka Doncic to the Lakers in a three-team deal involving the Utah Jazz.

Ahead of the NBA trade deadline next Thursday, the Utah Jazz have reportedly made another deal. On Saturday morning, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Jazz are trading veterans Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Barely an hour after Utah’s social media team sent out a birthday graphic for the 28-year-old Oregon State product, the Jazz front office traded Eubanks and Patty Mills to the Los Angeles Clippers for P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania and Bobby Marks.
