Firefighters extinguished a house fire in DeKalb County early Wednesday morning. Crews were dispatched at 1449 Bentley Woods Lane at about 2 a.m. When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the back of the house. Two children suffered minor smoke inhalation and were evaluated by EMS workers.

Anthony Gennaro Persichetti, 46, was found dead inside his home when his ex-wife stopped by after he failed to show up for work. She told deputies that her 24-year-old son, Anthony David Persichetti, lived with his father and expressed that she was afraid her son may have been involved.
