CHICAGO (WLS) -- Nearly a decade after being arrested, a man has been sentenced for the 1998 murder of a Chicago woman.

A 41-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to the head about 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of North Monticello Avenue, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one is in custody.
