PlayStation Plus is moving away from offering monthly PlayStation 4 games beginning in 2026. The paid subscription service will still offer them “occasionally,” but the main focus of the program will be PS5 games, and it only took almost the entirety of the current console’s life-cycle to see customer demand get there.

Available tomorrow, PS Plus subscribers can grab the free monthly games for February 2025. These include Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World Re-Pac.

The PlayStation 4 is old enough now that Sony has announced that its games will soon be excluded from the monthly PlayStation Plus line-ups.

As part of today's PS Plus Essential announcement, Sony has also announced a change to the consoles it'll target from January 2026 onwards. In a year, PS4 games will no longer be the focus of PS Plus updates across the base tier and both PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium.
