By Ted Hesson WASHINGTON -More than 200 alleged members of a Venezuelan gang have been deported by the U.S. and sent to El Salvador where they were taken to a high-security prison, the Salvadoran president said on Sunday.

El Salvador is agreeing to accept from the United States about 300 alleged members of a Venezuelan gang for one year

The administration won’t identify those moved — or say whether the Alien Enemies Act, which briefly sped up some deportations, played any role.
