A group of four development studios are working together on the next Battlefield game — DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect have joined hands for the project, which EA promised would take the franchise back to its roots after the failed experiment that was Battlefield 2042.

EA went on further to say that Labs will play “a significant role in the development that Battlefield Studios is doing for the series,” so those who are looking to help out the game’s direction or just try it out early can try to enlist and be a part of something potentially big.

EA has announced a new “Battlefield Labs” community testing program to give people the opportunity to test the next Battlefield game. You can sign up for the program now, and EA says that the “first phase” of testing will go live in “the coming weeks” for invited players in Europe and North America.
