Sunday is bringing milder temperatures in the mid to upper 70s to North Texas, with a sunny outlook for the week.

North Texas is experiencing unusually warm weather, with temperatures tying a 1911 record of 84 degrees. A cold front will slightly lower temperatures, but they will remain well above average.

She previously spent three years working as the morning meteorologist for KXXV-TV in Waco, Texas — so she's no stranger to the perks that come with living in the Texas climate, but she is aware of the unique challenges that come with forecasting the weather in the Lone Star State.

A couple of cold fronts will impact North Texas this week, but the cooler air associated with these fronts will remain north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a result, we will have to wait until late Saturday for the next significant cool-down.
