Green Star is an internationally recognised rating system setting the standard for healthy, resilient, positive buildings and places, developed by Green Building Council of Australia.

There are four Green Star rating tools available for certification of design and construction, operation of buildings, fitouts and communities. These have been developed by GBCA, in close consultation with industry and government, and continues to evolve.

Green Star is a voluntary sustainability rating system for buildings in Australia. It was launched in 2003 by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). The Green Star rating system assesses the sustainability of projects at all stages of the built environment life cycle.

The Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) exam is designed to test your general comprehension of the Green Star - rating tools. The Green Star training Course you took will have focused on one of our rating tools: Buildings, Communities, Performance or Design & As Built.

Before achieving certification you can promote your Green Star registered project in writing, but cannot use the Green Star logo or Green Star certification trade mark. The Green Star certification trade mark can only be used once the project is certified.

Sep 29, 2024 · The role of EPDs in Green Star. GBCA recognises EPD Australasia as a Responsible Products initiative, and rewards the verified EPDs published by them, for providing credible disclosure of the environmental impacts of products used in the built environment.

The Green Star rating system assesses the sustainability of projects at all stages of the built environment life cycle. Ratings can be achieved at the planning phase for communities, during the design, construction or fit out phase of buildings, or during the ongoing operational phase.
