I recall reading that Fender used an EC boost in their Summers tribute, maybe modified, although that obviously was not the circuit that Summers actually had. What do either of these look like in schematic diagram form? Similar to a Stratoblaster?

Jun 23, 2024 · Clapton is an over rated turd. He's an above average guitar player that can sing, who has written a few decent songs. Clapton doesn't rank in the top 100 in my book (hint, the top 10 are jazz guitarists).

Nov 22, 2013 · Eric Clapton was around in the mid 60's when we all had to use big amps since there were no house PAs, just the backline. So we all had Marshalls that were cranked flat out because we were in big halls. Loud at the front, louder on stage, not so loud at the back.

Feb 8, 2011 · IMO Mike got a better tone out of a Tele, Les Paul and a Strat than Clapton. Clapton has that polished feel to his playing, where as Mike is a lot rougher around the edges, very articulate, but I hear and feel more emotion from Mike's playing. When Clapton was playing in the Yardbirds, Mike was playing a purer style of the blues.
