Well, Magneto's skillset makes him able to be able to take any role. He's a master tactician. He's beaten and outsmarted X-Men, Fantastic 4, and Avengers many times. He's a genius Level Intellect up there with Tony Stark and Bruce. His powers allow him to be able to blow up planets if he wanted to. He's fought beings like Thanos.
