Apr 10, 2024 · PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Twenty-three players including 13 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders have been selected to join USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, it was announced today. The players, all from the 2008 birth year, will compete as the U.S. National Under-17 Team for the 2024-25 season.

The program is composed of two squads - the U.S. National Under-17 and Under-18 Teams. The Under-17 Team competes in the United States Hockey League and also participates in three international events annually.

The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) represents the United States in the IIHF World U18 Championship. Additionally the team plays domestically against opponents in the United States Hockey League (under-17 and under-18 teams) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (under-18 team), and other international tournaments.
